Weekend Trip to Mont St. Michel (and a Random Night Out)
this page has pictures of our trip to mont st michel... i don't have any pictures of the actual island (my camera ran out of batteries), but the idea is this island that can only be reached when the tide goes out... otherwise, water rises 40 feet on the rocks and surrounds the island. they have since built a road leading the the island, but you get the idea... another very important thing is sheep graze in the grass when the tide goes out... and the most important thing of them all is WE HEARDED THOSE SHEEP. yup, we chased those things around and acted like americans... but since we were the coolest thing to ever happen to this place, i don't know if anybody really minded...

Mont St Michel Beach
this is the beach surrounding mont st michel... and we walked, barefooted, in the water to this smaller island in the distance... during the tide, all this beach is covered with water.
(we got in trouble during our pilgrimage because we WERE american and we WEREN'T part of the group... we WEREN'T allowed into the musical cult, even though we followed the leader into the water... we DID NOT have any music to contribute...)
